Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Eagle Scout Patrick T Lang for his outstanding achievement of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, December 29, 2012, to be “Patrick T. Lang Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Award is the highest rank in Scouting of which only 4 percent of youth earn and is based on performances in the areas of responsibility, leadership, service and outdoor skills; and,
 
WHEREAS, Patrick T. Lang has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and will be honored at the Eagle Scout Court of Honor of Troop 66 on Saturday, December 29, 2012; and,
 
WHEREAS, Patrick advanced to Troop 66 after earning the Arrow of Light from Pack 66 in March of 2005; and,  
 
WHEREAS, for his final project to obtain Eagle Scout, he organized a group of energized scouts and volunteers to work at Ascension Catholic Church where they cleaned and painted the kitchen areas, replaced a lighting fixture in the ladies' room, and replaced the ceiling in both the ladies' room and the church accounting office; and,     
 
WHEREAS, Patrick graduated from Bishop Canevin High School in May, 2012 and currently attends Penn State University, New Kensington campus; and,
