Resolution naming the building located at the West End Elliott Overlook as the ELMER CLARK PAVILION.
Body
Whereas, Elmer Clark was the President of the West End/Elliott Citizen Council for many years; and,
Whereas, Elmer Clark volunteered countless hours in working with contractors during the makeover of the overlook and the building of the pavilion; and,
Whereas, Elmer took great pride in Elliott, the West End Elliott Overlook and the City of Pittsburgh; and,
Whereas, naming the building the Elmer Clark Pavilion would only be a small token of appreciation for the many years of service that Elmer provided to his neighbors, his community and this City.
The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and Director of Public Works are hereby authorized and directed to name the building located at the West End Elliott Overlook the Elmer Clark Pavilion, effective May 1, 2010.
