Body

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh currently uses VMware software to maintain server and desktop virtualization in support of core applications and end users; and

WHEREAS, the City seeks to upgrade our existing virtualization capabilities and use VMware software to meet the evolving needs of City departments;

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.                     Authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Innovation & Performance to enter into an Agreement, Agreements, or Amendments with CDW-G and VMWare Inc. for the provision of software and services used to support the City’s technology infrastructure for a sum not to exceed Two Million One Hundred Thirty Two Thousand Dollars ($2,132,000), $426,400 per year for 5 years. Future year authorization is subject to annual appropriation by City Council.
