WHEREAS, Rev. Victor J Grigsby will be celebrating his 20th Pastoral service anniversary at Central Baptist Church on June 16-18 2017; and,
WHEREAS, Reverend Grigsby has earned two degrees, one being a bachelors in philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and the other a Master of Arts degree in Theology from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary; and,
WHEREAS, the Reverend has been dedicating his time for twenty years to the Central Baptist Church which has led to esteemed growth and development with an atmosphere of worship; and,
WHEREAS, Reverend Grigsby, his wife Vickie, and their seven children by being part of the church have worked to create a safe and caring community; and,
WHEREAS, the Reverend has been involved in various committees which include: The Christian Associates of Western PA Theological Advisory Committee, Vice-President of the Allegheny County Prison Advisory Board, The One Church One Child Adoption Program, and the Board of the Sunrise Home Transitional Living Facility; and,
WHEREAS, Rev. Grigsby has led the Allegheny Union Baptist Association (A.U.B.A.) as Vice-President of Christian Education, was the A.U.B.A. Kiski Area Vice-Moderator, and currently serves as the President of the Hill District Ministers Alliance; and,
WHEREAS, Reverend Grigsby has been a blessing not only to the church but also to the community by creating a twenty year Master Development Plan, which will build (and has been building) a Life Development Center, Christian Academy, Senior Housing facility, and a Commercial and Retail Development Center; and,
WHEREAS, Reverend Grigsby has received acknowledgement over the years through being inducted into the Morehouse College Board of Preachers in 2000 and also receiving the NAACP Faith In Action Humanitarian Effort Award in 2014; and,
WHEREAS, Rev. Victor J Grigsby has spent the last 20 years of his life being devoted to spreading the word of God and making his community a peaceful and happy one for everybo...
