Resolution amending Resolution 745 of 1999, effective date November 18, 1999, providing for an agreement by and between the City of Pittsburgh, The Pittsburgh Foundation, A Pennsylvania non-profit corporation, and the Pittsburgh Allegheny County Vietnam Veterans Monument Fund Charitable Trust, in connection with the transfer of the Vietnam Veterans Monument, and providing for the maintenance thereof.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. Section 1, which currently reads:
The Mayor and the Directors of the Department of General Services, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation, are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Pittsburgh Foundation and the Pittsburgh Allegheny County Vietnam Veterans Monument Fund Charitable Trust, transferring the Vietnam Veterans Monument to the City, and providing for the maintenance thereof. Maintenance costs will be paid from a permanent endorsement provided by the Donor. This agreement shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
Is hereby amended to read as per Section 2:
The Mayor and the Directors of the Department of General Services, Public Works, and Parks and Recreation, are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Pittsburgh Foundation and the Pittsburgh Allegheny County Vietnam Veterans Monument Fund Charitable Trust to permit the City to provide "ordinary maintenance and repairs" as defined in the agreement to the Vietnam Veterans Monument, which will be transferred to the City from the Pittsburgh Allegheny County Vietnam Veterans Monument Fund Charitable Trust. Extraordinary repairs, as defined in the Agreement, shall be paid for by the permanent endowment provided by the Donor: Pittsburgh Allegheny County Vietnam Veterans Monument Fund Charitable Trust, and administered by the Foundation. This agreement shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor.
