Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into a grant agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to obtain monies for the Frick Park Trails Renovation/Enhancement Project.

Body
WHEREAS, the City, through the Department of Public Works, has applied to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (“DCNR) for a grant for the purposes of Frick Park Trail Renovations and Enhancements; and

WHEREAS, the DCNR has approved the City's grant application for the amount of $75,000; and

WHEREAS, the City now seeks to enter into a Grant Agreement with DCNR to obtain these monies;

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works are hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, to obtain $75,000 in grant monies that will be used by the City for the Frick Park Trails Renovation/Enhancement Project. The Grant Agreement shall be in a form and substance approved by the City Solicitor.

Section 2. As required by the Grant Agreement, the City agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. The “Signature Page for Grant Application and Grant Agreement” may be signed by the Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Works.

2. If the “Signature Page for Grant application and Grant Agreement” was signed prior to the passage of this Resolution, the grant of authority applies retroactively to the date of signing.

3. If the City is awarded a grant, the “Signature Page for Grant Application and Grant Agreement” signed by the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works will become the applicant/grantee's executed signature page for the Grant Agreement, and the applicant/grant...
