NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Pittsburgh City Council welcomes Destiny Faison to the City of Pittsburgh, officially recognizes her as an honorary City of Pittsburgh resident, and declares November 18th Destiny Faison Day in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Destiny Faison is a 15-year-old resident of Riviera Beach, Florida who celebrated her birthday on November 18th; and

WHEREAS, Destiny is a inspiration to those around her, and her life is a blessing that we are all proud to share;

WHEREAS, Destiny is a outstanding, beautiful young woman who fills the room with joy whenever she enters; and

WHEREAS, Destiny has relatives who live in the Pittsburgh area, and they along with the 330,000 residents of the City of Pittsburgh want to welcome Destiny to the City of Champions, the city that built America; and

WHEREAS, we ask Destiny to soak in all the sights and sounds of Pittsburgh during her visit, hoping that she enjoys every incline, bridge, perogi and gumband that she may encounter;
