Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an agreement or agreements for booking, performance and entertainment services in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh's Independence Day Festival at an amount not to exceed FIFTY-FOUR THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($54,950.00) to be paid for using grant funds received from the Richard King Mellon Foundation and chargeable to job number 5029400545.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh requires as part of its Independence Day Festival, services for performance and entertainment along with booking services appurtenant thereto; and
WHEREAS, The Plain White T’s d.b.a Dr. Kenneth Noisewater Inc, were selected by the City for the performance of said services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh now wishes to enter into an agreement with Dr. Kenneth Noisewater Inc. for their performance in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Festival.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with Dr. Kenneth Noisewater Inc for a performance and entertainment services, and Degy Booking International, Inc. for appurtenant booking services in conjunction with the City of Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Festival at an amount not to exceed FIFTY-FOUR THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($54,950.00) authorized and appropriated from the following code account: 5029400545.53901.00
Section 2. Said agreement or agreements shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
