WHEREAS, on February 22, 2004, Frances Marie DiGiacomo will celebrate her 90th birthday with family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Frances honorably left school after the second grade to take care of her younger brother Albert, after the early death of her mother; and
WHEREAS, Frances left her birthplace of Uniontown, PA, to live with her sister, Rose, and brother-in-law John, in Bloomfield; and
WHEREAS, Frances married Sam DiGiacomo at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bloomfield in 1939. They were together for 52 years of marriage; and
WHEREAS, from this union Frances and Sam were blessed with three children, Sam, Janice, and Robert "Bo" and two grandchildren, Tony and Robert "Bobby"; and
WHEREAS, to her family, friends, and the City of Pittsburgh, Frances is a hero and in their eyes will be forever young.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh would like to thank Frances Marie DiGiacomo for her outstanding citizenship, her love and devotion to her family and to the City of Pittsburgh.
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED, that the Council in the City of Pittsburgh wishes Frances Marie DiGiacomo a "Happy 90th Birthday" and hereby declares February 22, 2004 as "Frances Marie DiGiacomo Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
