Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements between the City of Pittsburgh and Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation, for the installation and maintenance of a mural at Leslie Recreation Center, at no cost to the City

WHEREAS, Lawrenceville United, Bloomfield Garfield Corporation, and BOOM Concepts have proposed the creation of a mural on the exterior wall of Leslie Recreation Center Pool building, on property owned by the City of Pittsburgh; and

 

WHEREAS, the installation of the mural is supported by the Department of Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, the Public Realm Division of the Department of City Planning administers the implementation of community-led public art projects on City property; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh intends to grant Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation license to install and maintain the artwork at this location, with no cost to the City of Pittsburgh and without transfer of ownership to the City of Pittsburgh.

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     Authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements between the City of Pittsburgh and Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation, for the installation and maintenance of a mural at Leslie Recreation Center.
