WHEREAS, the Olympic Athletic Club of Pittsburgh, located at 450 South Main Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 in the West End Neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh, is a nonprofit corporation with over 350 members; and

WHEREAS, the Olympic Athletic Club of Pittsburgh has been a civic-minded organization in the Community since 1894 ; and
WHEREAS, The Olympic Athletic Club of Pittsburgh recently has donated to the West End Senior Citizens Center and has a long history in other activities that benefit charitable organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Olympic Athletic Club desires to operate certain small games of chance and/or conduct raffles to generate funds to further their purpose.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognize the Olympic Athletic Club to be a civic and/or services organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
