WHEREAS, Andrew Joseph Warble is a senior at Carrick High School. Throughout his academic career, he has managed to consistently achieve high honor roll and citizenship awards. This year his GPA is 3.78 and he currently ranks 21 out of a total of the 256 students in his senior class; and
WHEREAS, for 12 years, Andrew has been a member of Boy Scout Troop 224. He has held the leadership positions of Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Bugler. His peers inducted him into the Brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow, which is a brotherhood for honored Boy Scouts; and
WHEREAS, Andrew has worked and completed the merit badges needed for the Eagle Award and recently finished his Eagle Project; and
WHEREAS, Adam's Eagle Project consisted of interviewing veterans for their experiences in order to reveal to everyone in the nation, the sacrifices that many men have made in order to preserve our freedoms. His project is part of the Veteran's History Project made permanent in Washington, D.C.; and
WHEREAS on Thursday April 14, 2005 Andrew will be presented the rank of Eagle Scout.

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh congratulates Andrew Joseph Warble on his academic achievements and for his accomplishment of obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Thursday, April 14th, 2005 be hereby declared "Andrew Warble Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
