Title
Resolution authorizing the submission of an application to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for the Emergency Shelter Grant Program for fiscal year 2007.
 
Body
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development has monies available for use in the support of emergency shelters for the homeless; and,
 
WHEREAS, it would be advantageous for the City of Pittsburgh to submit an applications for these funds on behalf of the emergency shelters for the homeless in its jurisdiction;
 
 
 
SECTION 1.  That the City of Pittsburgh submit an application for financial assistance under the Emergency Shelter Grants Program to the PA Department of Community and Economic Development.
 
Section 2.      That the City of Pittsburgh will ensure the provisions of the full local share of project costs, will reimburse the Commonwealth for any expenditures to be found ineligible and will undertake the necessary environmental reviews for this project.
 
Section 3.      That the Mayor and the Director of City Planning are authorized and directed to enter into any Agreement or Agreements in a form acceptable to the City Solicitor, with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development for the receipt and use of funds granted to the City pursuant to the actions in Section 1.
 
Section 4.      That the City Controller is authorized and directed to deposit any funds received as a result of this application into the S.E.S.G.P. Account No.:
      566100-2640-110000-S2007-G225014-2007
 
Finally, that any Ordinance or Resolution or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution, is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
