Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and the Department of Public Safety to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Project Grant for the purpose of receiving grant funds in the amount of SIX HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY EIGHT DOLLARS AND SEVENTY EIGHT CENTS ($616,188.78) for enforcement and public education around Impaired driving, aggressive driving, occupant protection and pedestrian safety.

 

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1:                     The Resolution authorizing the Mayor, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and the Department of Public Safety, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are authorized to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Project Grant for the purpose of receiving grant funds in the amount of SIX HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY EIGHT DOLLARS AND SEVENTY EIGHT CENTS ($616,188.78) for enforcement and public education around Impaired driving, aggressive driving, occupant protection and pedestrian safety. Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 2329400493.45505.00. 

 

Section 2.                     The Mayor, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and the Department of Public Safety, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are further authorized to follow regular procurement processes to make all legitimate expenditures required by said Agreement(s) as outlined in Section 1. Said grants expenditures shall not exceed SIX HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY EIGHT DOLLARS AND SEVENTY EIGHT CENTS ($616,188.78), chargeable to and payable from the appropriate expense account in the Grants Trust Fund, job number 2329400493.
