Title: Resolution approving the recommendation made by the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure that the concrete portion of Allegheny Ave situated North of, and beginning at the intersection of N. Resolution approving the recommendation made by the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure that the concrete portion of Allegheny Ave situated North of, and beginning at the intersection of N. Franklin Ave and ending at 1631 Allegheny Ave at the termination of this Northerly block, should be paved with asphalt in accordance with Section 417.06 of the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances.

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh City Council by Ordinance 42 of 2018 amended Section 417.06 of the City of Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances to require final legislative approval of City Council should the Director of Mobility and Infrastructure recommend asphalt paving of a street that is currently brick, block stone, wood or concrete; and,

 

WHEREAS, Allegheny Ave from N Franklin Ave to 1631 Allegheny Ave is currently concrete, and the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure recommends that such streets have an overlay of asphalt; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh wishes to advance the paving of the concrete portion of Allegheny Ave from N Franklin Ave to 1631 Allegheny Ave with an asphalt overlay as recommended by the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure;

 

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure is authorized to pave the concrete portion of Allegheny Ave from N Franklin Ave to 1631 Allegheny Ave, at the termination of the northerly block, with an overlay of asphalt.
