Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into an agreement or agreements with the Center for Employment Opportunities to grant a license to enter onto certain City-owned parcels for the purpose of performing certain work, including maintenance and beautification services, that fall outside the regular work assigned to City employees, at no cost to the City.

WHEREAS, Resolution 320 of 2022 requested and authorized the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Directors of the Departments of Finance and Public Works to explore entering into an agreement or agreements with the Center for Employment Opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the Center for Employment Opportunities is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing employment, skills training, and career support to people returning to our neighborhoods following incarceration; and
WHEREAS, the Center for Employment Opportunities and the City have identified work opportunities such as maintenance and beautification services that fall outside the regular work assigned to City employees; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Center for Employment Opportunities wish to enter into a License Agreement to define the Center for Employment Opportunities' activities of maintenance and beautification services on City-owned property.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Public Works are authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements with the Center for Employment Opportunities in order to grant the Center for Employment Opportunities a license to enter onto certain City-owned properties in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, as identified by tax parcel numbers in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in an attachment to each agreement or agreements, in order to perform certain work, including maintenance and beautification services, that fall outs...
