WHEREAS, The Pittsburgh Allderdice Girls Basketball Team, a team full of perseverance,
determination, and purpose, defeated Pittsburgh Obama Academy 62-39. It was their first City League girls' championship since 2020; and

WHEREAS, The Pittsburgh Allderdice Girls Basketball Team, a shining example of teamwork, dedication, and commitment to excellence, demonstrated their true character. Despite a loss to Pittsburgh Obama Academy in last year’s championship game, they bounced back with dignity and respect, showcasing their unwavering spirit and determination to win the City League Championship this year; and
WHEREAS, The Pittsburgh Allderdice Girls Basketball Team, after a season of hard-fought battles, emerged victorious with a 14-9 record, culminating in their triumph as the City League Girls Basketball Champions in 2023-2024. This remarkable achievement is a testament to their resilience and determination, as they overcame all odds to dethrone the two-time defending champion, Pittsburgh Obama Academy, in the City League girls' championship game on February 17th; and
WHEREAS, The following are members of the 2023-2024 Championship Team and are very deserving of this recognition for their success:
