WHEREAS, Frederic R. Ernsberger has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and will be honored at a ceremony on January 10, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ernsberger is a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Greater Pittsburgh Council, Japeechen District, Troop 380; and
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Ernsberger constructed a bird blind at Hartwood Acres that will allow wildlife observers to view animals at a close distance without disturbing them; and
WHEREAS, the bird blind was completed in 154 hours with the help of 11 other scouts and several adults, including Mr. Ernsberger's brothers who also are Eagle Scouts; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ernsberger graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School with honors in 2008 and is currently a student at Penn State University's main campus; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ernsberger is the son of Barbara and Daniel Ernsberger.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh congratulates Eagle Scout Frederic R. Ernsberger on his recent achievements and commends him for his hard work and dedication.
