WHEREAS, the 1964 graduating classes (January and June) of the George Westinghouse High School, Pittsburgh, Pa will be celebrating their 60^th class reunion. And

WHEREAS, giving all due honor and respect, we proclaim that George Westinghouse High School, holds a particular esteem in our hearts and appreciation for the communities of East Liberty, Homewood- Brushton, and the City of Pittsburgh. And,

WHEREAS, George Westinghouse High School, now known as Westinghouse Academy, has continued to prepare students with special foundational and transformational learning to serve the City of Pittsburgh, the State of Pennsylvania, and throughout the United States of America. And,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare August 3^rd, 2024, to be “George Westinghouse Class of 1964 Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
