Title
Resolution authorizing a cooperation agreement or agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh for administration of a $900,000 Brownfields Economic Development Initiative Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the renovation of 829 Beaver Avenue (former J. Allan Steel Building) in the Chateau Industrial District. (Council District No. 6).

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of City Planning, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a cooperation agreement or agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA"), in a form approved by the City Solicitor, designating URA as the City's agent for administration of a Brownfields Economic Development Initiative grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the amount of $900,000 for the renovation of 829 Beaver Avenue (former J. Allan Steel Building) in the Chateau Industrial District, chargeable to and payable from the following account:

Section 2. The cooperation agreement shall contain a provision obligating URA to guarantee the repayment of the HUD Section 108 loan for this project in the amount of $2,000,000.
