Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Public Works to name Frick Park Field #1 at Forbes and Braddock Avenues in the 14^th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh for Jeff Rosenthal, to be called Jeff Rosenthal Field.

Body

WHEREAS, Jeff Rosenthal has been a leader in the Squirrel Hill community and for 19 years has served in various capacities with the 14^th Ward Baseball Association; and,

WHEREAS, Jeff Rosenthal has served as Coach, Officer, and President of the 14^th Ward Baseball Association, devoting thousands of hours of his time to the development, operation and maintenance of the League; and,

WHEREAS, Jeff Rosenthal has always made it a point to insure that any child who wanted to play in the league was not turned away due to financial reasons; and,

WHEREAS, Jeff Rosenthal's nineteen years of dedicated service enhanced the quality of life and furthered the athletic, social and educational opportunities for the children of his community; and,

WHEREAS, there is significant community support to honor and recognize Jeff Rosenthal as evidenced by petitions from the community and resolutions by community based organizations; and,

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.      The Mayor and Director of the Department of Public Works are hereby authorized and directed to name Frick Park Field #1 at Forbes and Braddock Avenues in Frick Park JEFF ROSENTHAL FIELD.
