Title
Resolution the Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh and the Council of the City of Pittsburgh are requested to immediately nominate qualified individuals to serve on the City of Pittsburgh Ethics Hearing Board.
 
Body
Whereas, the Pittsburgh Code establishes the Pittsburgh Ethics Hearing Board composed of five members; and,
 
Whereas, the Mayor appoints two members to the board who are confirmed by City Council; and,
 
Whereas, City Council generates a list of nine candidates to fill the remaining three positions.  The Mayor appoints three members to the board from Council's list and the three appointees are confirmed by City Council.
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh and the Council of the City of Pittsburgh are requested to immediately nominate qualified individuals to serve on the City of Pittsburgh Ethics Hearing Board.
 
NOTE: I do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance duly engrossed and certified, was delivered by me to the Mayor for his approval of disapproval and that the Mayor failed to approve or disapprove the same, whereupon it became law without his approval, under the provisons of the Act of the Assembly in such case made and provided.
