WHEREAS, Pastor Gary Lee Brock, Sr. was born May 24, 1961 to the Late Evangelist Avis Brock and the Late John Isaiah Brock; and,

WHEREAS, Pastor Brock is a true servant of God, having dedicated 21 years of community service, serving locally in Beltzhoover, nationally, and internationally. Pastor Brock’s God-given mission has reached the Philippines, Ghana, India, and Pakistan; and,

WHEREAS, Pastor Brock is actively involved in the community and has a heart for all of God’s people. Pastor Brock has traveled many places preaching the Word of God, giving hope to the hopeless, helping each one understand their purpose and the promises given to them by God; and,

WHEREAS, in 2001, Pastor Brock became the senior Pastor of The First Church of God in Christ, now known as Narrow Way Ministries COGIC; and,

WHEREAS, as of February 2014, Pastor Brock has entered into full-time ministry, having retired from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Port Authority after over 28 years of service as an Urban Transit Operator; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does herby recognize and commend Pastor Brock for his tireless, life-long service which has undoubtedly impacted countless lives; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Friday, May 24^th, 2022, to be “Pastor Gary Lee Brock Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
