WHEREAS, it appears by the petition and affidavit on file that the owners of all the property fronting or abutting on the line of this portion of Gallatin Street, in the 10th Ward, 7th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh have petitioned the Council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of same, and
WHEREAS, said petition contains inter-alia, an indemnification of the City from any claims and from the payment of any damages whatsoever resulting to any properties owned by the petitioners or by any persons whatsoever, abutting or non-abutting, for or by reason of said vacation; therefore
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1.
Vacating a portion of Gallatin Street, 10th Ward, in the 7th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh. as described:
All that certain portion of Gattalin Street, situated in the 10th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, more particularly bound and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the northerly line of Butler Street, S.R. 0008, a 60 foot public Right of Way, said point being the southwesterly corner of lands now or formerly 401 Center, LLC; thence along Butler Street North 71° 49' 17" west, a distance of 25.00 feet, to a point on the easterly line of lands now or formerly Lois Gillooly; thence along said lands of Lois Gillooly, north 18° 10' 43" east, a distance of 100.00 feet to a point on the southerly line of Gallatin Street, an unnamed unopened Alley; thence along said Alley south 71° 49' 17" east, a distance of 25.00 feet to a point on the westerly lands of said 401 Center, LLC; thence along said 401 Center, LLC south 18° 10' 43" west, a distance of 100.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 5,000 square feet or 0.0573 Acres.
