Resolution approving execution of a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh for the sale of Block 10-K, Lots 46, 55, 56, 58, 59, and Block 10-P, Lot 24, in the 5^th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, 2165-2177 Centre Avenue, 2170-2174 Wylie Avenue, and 505-517 Kirkpatrick Street -- Council District No. 6 (Centre Avenue Corridor - Library Construction).

Body

Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh has requested authorization to execute a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, in connection with the sale of Block 10-K, Lots 46, 55, 56, 58, 59, and Block 10-P, Lot 24, for $1.00, said property being located in the 5th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh; and

Whereas, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh believes that the proposed Contract is in the best interest of the City of Pittsburgh and the desires to give its approval in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City Of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.      That execution of a Contract for Disposition by Sale of Land by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, in connection with the sale of Block 10-K, Lots 46, 55, 56, 58, 59, and Block 10-P, Lot 24, for $1.00, said property being located in the 5th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, be and the same is hereby approved.
