Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Parks and Recreation to enter into a Sponsorship Agreement or Agreements with Chevrolet for the sponsorship of Pistons in the Park. The City may receive up to $3,000 per year from this sponsorship.

 

Body

WHEREAS, each year, the Office of Special Events presents Pistons in the Park, an annual car cruise in Allegheny Commons; and

 

WHEREAS, Chevrolet desires to provide the City with financial sponsorship support for the event and designated associated activities; and the parties wish to enter into a Sponsorship Agreement for the year 2023, with the option to extend to 2024 and 2025.

 

Now therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                      The Mayor and the Director of Parks and Recreation are authorized to enter into a Financial Sponsorship Agreement with Chevrolet for the City of Pittsburgh’s 2023 Pistons in the Park car cruise and designated associated activities, with the option to extend for two additional years. The sponsorship terms will provide a total value of $3,000.00 per year to the City to support Pistons in the Park. All monies from the aforementioned sponsors will be deposited into the following account:  JDE 5000731400.48106.00.
