Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a grant agreement with the Heinz Endowments to receive $25,000 in funding to support the analysis of streetlight conversion to higher performance LED systems and production of public awareness programming related to reduction of light pollution and encouragement of citywide energy conservation

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Chief of Innovation and Performance are hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Heinz Endowments for the receipt of grant monies in the amount of twenty five thousand dollars ($25,000). These funds will be used to support the analysis of streetlight conversion to higher performance LED systems and production of public awareness programming related to reduction of light pollution and encouragement of citywide energy conservation. The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the JDE# 0329400129.48311.00 for Budget Year 2014.
Section 2. The Chief of Innovation and Performance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby further authorized to enter into agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, and to make all legitimate expenditures required under the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement with the Heinz Endowments outlined in Section 1 of this resolution. Said agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, or expenditures shall not exceed twenty five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) chargeable to and payable from the JDE#0329400129.50000.00 for Budget Year 2014.
