WHEREAS, Mr. Tim Sites was born February 27, 1979 to Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy and Linda Sites in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Elliott. He received his General Education Diploma from Connelly Trade School; and

WHEREAS, formerly incarcerated and released in 2016 in exchange for five years’ probation, Tim used that time to change his life around and encourage others who are struggling with mental health and addiction issues, as he once did; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Sites opened Gallery 4 Twelve, a Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery, in Downtown Pittsburgh and soon purchased the entire building in which his business is located. Tim also works as a Counselor at the very treatment facility that helped him, and he is on the Committee of Inmate Affairs Task Force, an initiative of the Black Political Empowerment Project; and
WHEREAS, Tim also volunteers at events held by City Council President Theresa Kail Smith and those hosted by Save a Life Today Pittsburgh, which helps underprivileged children; and,
WHEREAS, in addition, Mr. Sites sponsors the Tweed Street National Night Out Block Party in Sheraden. In doing so, he helps his childhood friend Maurice L. Bailey’s mother, Debra Bailey, who used to pay for the event herself; and,
WHEREAS, hoping to rebuild his relationship with his daughters, Milan and Lilli, Tim has been clean for the past seven years and he and his fiancée, Suzanne Schwerer, plan to marry in May 2023; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby acknowledge Mr. Tim Sites for overcoming addiction and mental health issues, congratulate him on his successful business, and thank him for his volunteerism; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Tuesday, August 2, 2022 to be “Tim Sites Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
