WHEREAS, James Snow is a dedicated Pittsburgher whose career has reflected a consistent commitment to serving the organizations and communities that make this city strong; and,

WHEREAS, as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, James has provided exemplary leadership across finance, operations, and organizational development, helping to ensure that Pittsburgh's parks remain vibrant and accessible for all residents; and,
WHEREAS, James Snow has distinguished himself as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, modernizing internal infrastructure through HR innovation, strengthening compliance systems, and fostering a high-performance, mission-aligned organizational culture centered on collaboration and inclusion; and,
WHEREAS, his work in development and fundraising grew corporate investment in Pittsburgh's parks by more than 250 percent in a single year, and his earlier career in equitable community development at Grounded Strategies reflects a sustained dedication to expanding opportunity across the region; and,
WHEREAS, a Pittsburgh Business Times "30 Under 30" honoree and mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh, James has contributed generously to civic life in Pittsburgh - giving his time and talent not only professionally, but personally, in service of this community.
WHEREAS, through strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and deep community commitment, James Snow has consistently advanced impactful, sustainable initiatives that strengthen both organizations and the communities they serve.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend James Snow for his outstanding professional achievements, his steadfast service to the Pittsburgh community, and his commitment to building a city that is equitable, vibrant, and strong for all who call it home; and,
