Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Office of Management & Budget of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County in order to provide Three Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand ($375,000.00) dollars to support Allegheny County’s Department of Economic Development match for a HUD Lead Safety and Healthy Homes Grant.  Under the terms of the Cooperation Agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County funds are chargeable and payable from account:

102200.53101 BY 2017 $300,000.00

102200.53101 BY 2018   $75,000.00

Due to the 50 percent match provided by the City of Pittsburgh, $1.875 million from this program must be used to serve homes within the City of Pittsburgh. If the program is not able to identify enough qualifying homes within the city to spend this amount, the Mayor or his designee must provide a report to City Council outlining a plan to increase participation.
