• Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Sally Harvey for her dedication to the City of Pittsburgh; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 30, 2013, to be “Sally Harvey Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Sally Harvey began her career with the City of Pittsburgh as a machine operator with the Finance office on March 23, 1964 and has begun her 50^th year with the city on March 23, 2013; and,

WHEREAS, Ms. Harvey was promoted to Clerk-Typist and worked in the Real Estate office in April, 1964 and after two years, was promoted again to Clerk 2 after passing the civil service test and in 1968 was transferred to Public Safety BBI; and,

WHEREAS, on July 14, 1969, Sally worked as a Clerk Stenographer under Public Safety for the Police Intelligence and in 1971 Ms. Harvey moved to the police legal advisor's office until 1986; and,  

WHEREAS,   on August 11, 1986, she worked in Public Safety Administration in the Office of Professional Responsibility which moved under the Law Department in 1997, which then evolved into the Office of Municipal Investigations (OMI) in 2003 where she currently working her 50^th year with the City of Pittsburgh; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Sally Harvey for her dedication to the City of Pittsburgh; and,
