Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby wish to recognize Mr. George Fausold for his commitment to helping community organizations and thus contributing to the Greater Pittsburgh community.

WHEREAS George Fausold is Vice President and CRA Officer for National City, which is now a part of the PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.; and
WHEREAS he is responsible for ensuring bank compliance to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) in the Greater Pittsburgh area; and
WHEREAS Mr. Fausold works with various business lines within the bank as well as with local government agencies, communities, community groups and non-profits; and
WHEREAS he is Treasurer of Neighborworks Western Pennsylvania, member of the Advisory Commission on Community Based Organizations (ACCBO) and member of the Mon Valley Initiative (MVI) Community Investment Fund (CIF) Committee; and
WHEREAS not only is Mr. Fausold active in the community, serving various local boards and committees, he has also helped various community organizations such as Dinwiddie Community Alliance; and
WHEREAS Mr. Fausold has helped Dinwiddie Community Alliance get the funding necessary to help with National Night Out, a yearly anti-violence celebration, among other things for many years; and
WHEREAS although the Dinwiddie Community Alliance did not have a 501c3 designation early on, Mr. Fausold worked with the organization to overcome the barriers they were facing and secure the funding they needed for the important community events that they host annually.
