WHEREAS, Mrs. Henrietta Abraham has worked in the Pittsburgh Public School system for thirty-seven years; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Abraham began her career as a teacher at Weil Elementary School in the Hill District; and
WHEREAS, she then became a guidance counselor at a number of schools including Reizenstein Middle School in East Liberty; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Abraham was named Acting Principal of Sterrett Classical Academy in Homewood; and
WHEREAS, for the last four years Mrs. Abraham has been principal of Prospect Middle School, also know as Prospect Multi-Cultural Studies Center, in Mt. Washington; and
WHEREAS, under the leadership of Mrs. Henrietta Abraham, all students at Prospect Middle School have been given a quality education and she is loved and respected by all, Teachers, Students and Parents alike.
WHEREAS, with the closing of Prospect Middle School, Mrs. Abraham has chosen to retire.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh thanks Mrs. Henrietta Abraham for her years of dedication to the children of the City of Pittsburgh and wishes her a Happy Retirement.
