Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Jim Krenn as honorary goodwill ambassador to the City of Pittsburgh, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in his role as goodwill ambassador, Jim Krenn will work with the region's cultural amenities and economic development agencies to welcome visitors to the City, attract new business, and share his love of Pittsburgh with the world.

WHEREAS, Jim Krenn began working for WDVE radio in 1988 as a radio DJ and personality and has provided 24 years of morning entertainment to residents of the City of Pittsburgh as the host of the City's top-rated morning radio show; and
 
WHEREAS, Jim has been voted the Top Entertainer in the City of Pittsburgh by Pittsburgh Magazine 14 times and nominated by Billboard Magazine as one of the Major Market Personalities of the Year; and
 
WHEREAS, Jim's act features a variety of impressions and characters, including his humorous take on local Pittsburgh personalities, making him one of the City's most well-known entertainers; and
 
WHEREAS, in addition to his radio work, Jim has contributed to the City through his mentorship of up-and-coming comics, his fundraising for the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Epilepsy Foundation, and his charitable service to Pittsburgh's animal community that earned him the Animal Friends Lifetime Achievement Award; and
 
WHEREAS, Jim received the Director's Community Leadership Award from the FBI's Pittsburgh Division in March 2012, and
 
WHEREAS, Jim is a lifelong resident of the Pittsburgh region whose morning show's CD releases have raised over one million dollars for local charities.
