Whereas, from its inception in 2007, the Citizens Leadership Initiative (CLI) has developed the competence of citizens throughout the City of Pittsburgh to actively participate in civic life. CLI also develops the capacity of human services agencies to support civic service in order to improve community conditions and promote social change; and
Whereas, CLI's partners are comprised of Family Resources, the Coro Center for Civic Leadership, and the University of Pittsburgh School Social Work. Through the CLI project 15-20 individuals (known as "CLI Fellows") develop their leadership skills and design and implement a civic engagement project to address poverty related issues; and
Whereas, the CLI Fellows Class of 2010 will be celebrating on March 3, 2011 at 6pm, their dedication and response to the call demanded of a true leader working on behalf of the greater good for our communities. The 2010 recipients are as follows:

Now, Therefore, be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and congratulate the Citizens Leadership Initiative Class of 2010 Fellows for completing the program and for their dedication to the welfare of our communities within the City of Pittsburgh; and
Be It Further Resolved, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does herby proclaim Thursday, March 3, 2011, as "Citizens Leadership Initiative Class of 2010 Fellows Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
