Title

Resolution directing the Fire Bureau and Emergency Medical Services Department to provide Quarterly Reports of receivership of calls, dispatch turnout, and response times.

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.  That the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby direct the Fire Bureau and Emergency Medical Services Department to provide Quarterly Reports of receivership of calls, dispatch turnout, and response times.

 

 

SECTION 2.                     The Fire Bureau and Emergency Medical Services Bureau are directed to provide Pittsburgh City Council with quarterly reports of the receivership of calls, dispatch turnout and arrival times to each fire and/or medical emergency where a dispatch is directed through the City's 911 telecommunications operations.  The quarterly reports shall contain a comparison of the receivership of calls, actual dispatch turnout and arrival times for each incident with the standards established by the National Fire Protection Association.

 

SECTION 3.  Within 90 days of Passage of this resolution, the first quality report for January/February/March shall be issued to City Council.  All subsequent reports will be due no later than 30 days after completion of each quarter.
