Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding from the Three Rivers Regatta to assist the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police with re-establishing the mounted unit.  This resolution further provides for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed FOUR THOUSAND ($4,000.00) dollars for this stated purpose as it relates to the grant funding for the project.

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.                       The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to execute relevant agreements with the Three Rivers Regatta in order to receive a grant award of FOUR THOUSAND ($4,000.00) dollars for the purpose of supporting the mounted police unit.  Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Mounted Police Trust Fund account 2300244900.48311.00.

Section 2.                       The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized to enter into an Agreement, or Contract, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts and not to exceed FOUR THOUSAND ($4,000.00) dollars for the purpose of supporting a mounted police unit under the terms of the agreement between the City and the Three Rivers Regatta chargeable to and payable from the Mounted Police Trust Fund account 2300244900.56151.00.
