Resolution amending Resolution 148 of 2023 authorizing the Mayor and the Commission on Human Relations to expand the Agreement/Agreements with Ruder Law for legal services related to the enforcement of City Code Chapter 659.03 Unlawful Housing Practices by increasing the approved amount by Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) for an amended total cost not-to-exceed One Hundred, Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000) over Five (5) years.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Human Relations Commission, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into an amended Agreement/Agreements with Ruder Law for legal services in an amount not-to-exceed of One Hundred, Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000), chargeable and payable from JD Edwards as outlined in Section 2.B.
Section 2.A. This agreement would begin in 2023 with the initial Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000), with the City having the option to renew annually for up to four (4) additional years at the rate of Forty-Five Thousand Dollars ($45,000) in 2024 and Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars ($35,000) in 2025, 2026 and 2027, but not-to-exceed a total of One Hundred, Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000) in any event over the course of the total Five (5) years contemplated herein.
Section 2.B. The City Controller shall encumber funds for the annual contract, as requested by the Human Relations Commission, as follows:
