Title

Resolution naming the baseball field within the Charles F. Dinan Memorial Playground, situated east of Hawthorne Street, south of Farmington Street and north of Sunnyside School, in the 10^th ward of the City of Pittsburgh, as the OFFICER ERIC G. KELLY FIELD.

Body

WHEREAS, Officer Eric G. Kelly was an upstanding resident of Stanton Heights; and,

WHEREAS, Officer Eric G. Kelly was a loving husband and father; and,

WHEREAS, Officer Eric G. Kelly was a loyal and dedicated 14-year veteran of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police; and,

WHEREAS, Officer Eric G. Kelly served the citizens of Pittsburgh heroically as a police officer; and,

WHEREAS, the Stanton Heights Neighborhood Association and the residents of Stanton Heights wish to honor the Kelly family by acknowledging Eric G. Kelly's commitment to family, loyalty and dedication to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and his heroic public service;

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.      The Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation to name the baseball field within the Charles F. Dinan Memorial Playground situated east of Hawthorne Street, south of Farmington Street and north of Sunnyside School, in the 10^th ward of the City of Pittsburgh, as the Officer Eric G. Kelly Field.
