Title
Resolution creating the Advertising and Marketing Opportunities Taskforce (AMOT) which shall investigate potential revenue generating opportunities for the City of Pittsburgh limited only to advertising on fence associated with playing fields for specific sporting events.
Body
Whereas, the City of Pittsburgh like many other Pennsylvania cities, has been in a fiscal crisis lacking sufficient revenue to its mandated expenditures; and,

Whereas, there exist opportunities for municipal advertising on playing field fences that could provide revenue for the city to help subsidize activities such as programs in Parks and Recreation; and,

Whereas, by creating the Advertising and Marketing Opportunities Taskforce (AMOT) City Council envisions an entity made up of professionals and community that can evaluate the potential, economic viability and esthetics of providing opportunities advertising on fence associated with playing fields.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

SECTION 1. Council hereby creates the Advertising and Marketing Opportunities Taskforce (AMOT) which shall investigate and report back to the city revenue generating opportunities for the City of Pittsburgh limited only to advertising on fence associated with playing fields associated with baseball, football, soccer, deck hockey, or skate parks that have structured seating for 40 or more spectators.

SECTION 2. The Advertising and Marketing Opportunities Taskforce (AMOT) shall include but not be limited to:

a. one member of City Council
b. at least one representative of the advertising profession
c. the Director of City Planning, Zoning Administrator or other designee
d. the Director of Parks or designee
e. the Director of General Services or designee
f. the Director of Public Works or designee
g. the Mayor or designee
