Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Pittsburgh City Council congratulates Bethel A.M.E. Church on its 2005 Women's Day as it welcomes and lauds the accomplishments of its keynote speaker, Barbara Ross-Lee, D.O., FACOFP.

Whereas, on the occasion of its Women's Day on Sunday, June 11, 2005, Bethel A.M.E. Church, 2720 Webster Avenue, welcomes its keynote speaker, Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, D.O., FACOFP; and
 
Whereas, Dr. Ross-Lee will address the Women's Day theme, "Women Rooted in the Word of God:  Fearless, faithful and favored;" and
 
Whereas, Dr. Ross-Lee, sister of Diana Ross, in her own right is an accomplished osteopathic doctor:  the first African-American female to serve as dean of a United States medical school, serving as the Dean of Osteopathic College at the Ohio University from 1993- 2001; member of the Board of Directors for the National Fund for Medical Education, Fellow of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and currently serves as the Executive Director of the National Osteopathic Center for Health Policy at the New York Institute of Technology.
