WHEREAS, Nothing Bundt Cakes® was founded in 1997, in the home kitchens of Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz. In 1998, Dena and Debbie opened their first Bundt Cakes bakery in Las Vegas; and,

WHEREAS, in 2016, Nothing Bundt Cakes expanded their brand and franchise to Canada and opened its first bakery in Burlington, Ontario.  By 2017, Dena and Debbie celebrated 20 years in business and every Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery had a party; and,

 

WHEREAS, in 2019, Nothing Bundt Cakes celebrated it 300th bakery with a “Thank You for 300” nationwide guest appreciation event.  As the company continued to grow, it was acquired by Roark Capital to help accelerate growth; and,

 

WHEREAS, in 2022, Dena and Debbie successfully opened 400 bakeries and also celebrated its 25th birthday by spreading joy with a cake give away for all bakeries.  Nothing Bundt Cakes handcrafts their baked goods with the finest ingredients including eggs, butter and cream cheese, with a wide variety of cakes offered daily in every bakery; and,

 

WHEREAS, Nothing Bundt Cakes offers cakes customized for any occasion, big or small, including birthdays. showers, holidays, graduations and life’s everyday moments; and,

 

WHEREAS, Nothing Bundt Cakes has six (6) locations here in the Pittsburgh area, including a brand-new bakery located in East Liberty-- celebrating a grand opening on Saturday, February 24th, 2024.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare February 24th, 2024, to be “Nothing Bundt Cakes Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
