Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh celebrates Rebecca and Alan for their entrepreneurial spirit, unwavering commitment to the community, and the invaluable contributions they have made through their business; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares October 15, 2024 to be "Copies at Carson" Day in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Rebecca Kasavich and Alan Juneau met in 1995 while working for an advertising agency; and,

WHEREAS, working together ignited a share vision that led to the founding of their own printing business in 1999; and,

WHEREAS, Copies at Carson has revolutionized the proofing process by establishing a digital proofing system that has become an essential resource for local Pittsburgh advertising agencies; and,

WHEREAS, their resilience has been tested through pivotal moments in history, including Y2K, the September 11 attacks, the .com burst, the 2009 G20 Summit, and the Covid-19 pandemic; and,

WHEREAS, through these challenges, Rebecca and Alan have adeptly embraced technological advancements, ensuring their printing practices remain at the forefront of the industry; and,

WHEREAS, their dedication to quality service has fostered a loyal customer base, demonstrating the enduring success of a "mom and pop" shop in our community; and

WHEREAS, the 25th anniversary of their East Carson Street location on October 4, 2024 marks not just a celebration of their business but a testament to their commitment to the South Side community; and,

WHEREAS, Rebecca, an active member of the South Side Chamber of Commerce, has been a steadfast supporter of South Side Community and numerous fundraisers, including the South Side Soup Contest. As a resident of District 2, she is also deeply engaged with Neighbors on the Mount. Alan, a passionate advocate for the Pittsburgh cycling scene, shares their commitment to supporting meaningful projects across the city, often championing causes close to their staff's hearts.

WHEREAS, during the pandemic, their printing services played a crucial role in honoring local high school graduates with yard signs, as well as contributing to a special Halloween segment for Good Morning America at the Children's Hospital; and,
