Resolution amending Resolution No. 390 effective July 21, 2022 entitled: "Resolution adopting a Reapportionment Plan for the City Council Districts in the City of Pittsburgh, as set forth in the map approved by the July 13, 2022 Standing Committee and finally passed by City Council on July 21, 2022, by correcting a technical error in the legislative text of Resolution No. 390 of 2022.

Body
WHEREAS, as a result of the 2020 Decennial Census, City Council was required to reapportion its City Council Districts pursuant to the Pennsylvania Municipal Reapportionment Act to account for changes in the City's population over the last ten years; and,

WHEREAS, City Council finally passed the required Reapportionment Plan July 21, 2022.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Council of the City of Pittsburgh enacts the following changes to the Council District boundaries noted below in order to comply with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's statutory requirements contained in the Municipal Reapportionment Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. ? 901 et seq.

Districts shall be composed of compact and contiguous territory as nearly equal in population as practicable, as officially and finally reported in the most recent Federal census. 53 Pa.C.S.A. ? 903(b).

The Council also finds this reapportionment plan to be consistent with the U.S. Voting Rights Act requirements.

Section 1. The Councilmanic Districts within the City of Pittsburgh shall be configured as follows, effective January 1, 2023:

District One

Ward 2 [District 1 and 2];
Ward 6 [PART, District 1 (only blocks 1000, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005, 1006, 1007, 1008, 1009, 1010, 1011, 1012, 1013, 1014, 1015, 1016, 1017, 1024, 1025, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1029, 1030, 1031, 1032, 1033, 1034, 1035, 1036, 1037, 1038, 1039, 1040, 1045, 1124 of tract 020300)];
Ward 22 [Districts 1, 2, District 3 (PART, only blocks 1012, 1013, 1014, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 of tract 562700 and blocks 1046, 1047, 1048, 1049, 1051, 1052, 1060, 1061, 1062, 106...
