Body
Whereas, John Lyon has faithfully served as a volunteer editor and photographer for The North Side Chronicle for nearly twenty years; and

Whereas, John has seen 240 issues of The North Side Chronicle published since uniting with Larry Evans, the newspaper's founder; and

Whereas, The North Side Chronicle's initial home was located on the second floor of the Allegheny United Church of Christ on Avery Street. It was at this location the fledgling newspaper began a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the North Side Leadership Conference; and

Whereas, John has seen and experienced a number of positive changes within the North Side Community, some of which include the ribbon cutting to open I-279, the last day at the Buhl Planetarium, the setting of home plate at PNC Park, and the groundbreaking at Carnegie Science Center; and

Whereas, John believes that "The North Side Chronicle is really the history of the North Side over the past twenty years", and he is grateful for the wonderful trip the paper has taken him on, as it will always have a special place within his heart;

Whereas, as the North Side Chronicle prepares for a new start and a passing of the torch let us never forget the generosity and foundation that has been established by Mr. John Lyon;
