Title
Resolution approving the amended Convention Center Redevelopment Proposal dated May, 2003, including Modification No. 2 to the Redevelopment Area Plan, for redevelopment activities in a portion of Redevelopment Area No. 46, Convention Center, in the 2nd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh. (Council District No. 6).

Body
Whereas, the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, pursuant to the Urban Redevelopment Law, Act of May 24, 1945, P.L. 991, as amended, submitted to this Council for its approval the amended Convention Center Redevelopment Proposal dated May, 2003, including Modification No. 2 to the Redevelopment Area Plan, for redevelopment activities in a portion of Redevelopment Area No. 46, Convention Center, in the 2nd Ward of the City of Pittsburgh; and

Whereas, Council fixed July 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. as the time for a public hearing on the Proposal; and

Whereas, due notice of the time, place and purpose of the public hearing was published as required by the Urban Redevelopment Law; and

Whereas, the amended Convention Center Redevelopment Proposal, including Modification No. 2 to the Redevelopment Area Plan, with maps, plans, or other documents as form a part thereof, together with the recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Pittsburgh and supporting data, were available for public inspection for ten days at the office of the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, 12th Floor, 200 Ross Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and at the office of the City Clerk, 510 City-County Building, 414 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and remain on file for public inspection at those offices; and

Whereas, Council is satisfied that adequate provisions will be made to relocate displaced residents and businesses without undue hardship; and
