Body
WHEREAS, the City and the URA are working cooperatively regarding the Uptown and Fifth/Forbes Corridor Investment District; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 801 of 2014, effective November 25, 2014, City Council authorized the URA to include certain City funds dedicated to the cost and creation of an Uptown and Fifth/Forbes Corridor Investment District to be used as a local match for the FTA grant application for Transit Oriented Development Planning Pilot Program funds; and

WHEREAS, in December, 2015, the FTA awarded One Million, Two Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero cents ($1,200,000.00) to the URA for the Transit Oriented Development Planning Pilot Program; and

WHEREAS, the URA has agreed to provide these FTA grant funds to the CITY to be used for portion of the Pittsburgh Uptown bus rapid transit corridor planning project, and the parties now wish to enter into a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements to effectuate the transfer of the grant funds and to set forth the duties and responsibilities of the parties.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.

A. The Mayor and the Director of City Planning, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements or other relevant agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") in order to accept a subgrant of Federal Transit Administration ("FTA") grant funds in an amount not to exceed One million, Two Hundr...
