Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 43, effective February 15, 2000, as amended by Resolution No. 491, effective July 20, 2001, which presently reads as follows:

" The Mayor or the Director of the Department of General Services and the Director of the Department of Engineering and Construction, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to advertise for proposals and to award and to enter into a Contract or Contracts or to use existing Contracts, to enter into an Agreement or Agreements or to use existing Agreements, and to purchase materials and supplies in connection with the Renovation of Recreation Centers and Senior Citizen Centers; at a cost not to exceed $720,000.00 chargeable to and payable from the following account:
