Body
WHEREAS, On February 20, 1946, the Civic Light Opera Association held a press luncheon to announce its very first season.  Immediately, talk of a new era in Pittsburgh's cultural life made a huge splash in all three of the city's daily newspapers.  In fact, The Sun Telegraph predicted that "the CLO will inaugurate a cycle in the city's musical history that will outlive us all"; and,

WHEREAS, The Civic Light Opera in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has opened a great space in the Cultural District that will supply Pittsburgh Night-Life and weekends with a whole new energy; and,

WHEREAS, The Cabaret at Theatre Square offers audiences CLO quality entertainment year round.  Located in the new Theater Square complex, it offers an intimate, convenient, exciting space that will host great entertainment provided by the Pittsburgh CLO; and,

WHEREAS, the first show to appear at the Cabaret at Theater Square is "Forever Plaid", which opened on Tuesday November 2nd; and,

WHEREAS, the New York musical comedy hit "Forever Plaid" is the deliciously funny and charming story of "The Plaids," a classic 1950's all-male singing group, who met their demise in a car crash on their way to their first big gig!
