Title
Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh to rededicate a portion of Allegheny Square right-of-way previously vacated, to adjust for changes in right-of-way improvements in the 22nd Ward.
Body
Whereas the City of Pittsburgh by City Council Resolution No. 303, approved May 15, 2002, authorized the vacation of part of Allegheny Square right of way for Children's Museum expansion; and
Whereas the Pittsburgh Children's Museum has revised their subdivision which is recorded in Plan Book Volume 242 pages 150 and 151 which requires revision in the Allegheny Square right-of-way needed for public improvement.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Finance and the Director of the Department of Public Works, are hereby authorized to rededicate previously vacated right-of-way for Allegheny Square improvement adjustment according to the following description:
Beginning at a point at the Southeast intersection of the Eastern right-of-way line of Allegheny Square, 60 feet wide, and the former Northern right-of-way line of West Ohio Street, 80 feet wide, now vacated; thence Southwardly along said Eastern right-of-way line South 14º02'44'' East a distance of 13.88 feet to a point at the TRUE PLACE OF BEGINNING; thence continuing South 14º02'44'' East a distance of 12.50 feet to a point; thence South 76º03'37'' West a distance of 30.0 feet to the center line of previously vacated Allegheny Square; thence North 14º02'44'' West a distance of 12.50 feet to a point; thence North 76º03'37'' East a distance of 30.0 feet to the true PLACE OF BEGINNING. Containing 374.85 square feet of area.
Section 2. Be it further resolved that said rededication shall become a permanent part of the Allegheny Square right-of-way now named Children's Way as previously indicated in the Pittsburgh Children's Museum Revised Plan of lots.
